A 2-day introductory course for novices and occasional users in basic map reading techniques. The course will include map symbology, scale, contour interpretation, grid references, distance and pacing and use of the compass; all brought together by navigating a course through the mountains together. By the course's end you should feel empowered to plan your own journeys with confidence.
